Introducing the Energy Star Rated Speed Queen TR3 26 Inch Top Load Washer with Agitator and Knob Controls
This powerful machine is also listed as TR3000WN in literature and known to Speed Queen engineers as model AWN43RSN115TW01. It replaces the AWN432SP Series Washers and comes with an amazing 3 year bumper to bumper warranty.
The following 4 factors will get you the ideal clean om this Speed Queen top load washer:
- Wash Temperature - Select your ideal temperature: Hot, Warm or Cold
- Load Size - Select Small, Medium or Large to determine how much water to use during wash. It is worth to mention that selecting "Large" fills up the entire tub during wash. Speed Queen added "Autofill" as an option to help the lazy ones among us who do not want to tinker with selection. Autofill also complies with Department of Energy regulations.
- Rinse Intensity - This simple ON/OFF switch gets you either full tub of water for rinse or lets the machine spray water based on the load size. We recommend keeping the extra rinse option "ON" to make sure no suds are left behind.
- Wash Cycle - This is the most important factor to determine the clean you are getting. TR3 comes with 4 options in the category. We will go in depth on these in the next paragraph.
4 Wash Cycles
- Heavy Duty - Use for sturdy items such as work uniforms, heavily soiled jeans. This is long cycle and gets you the results you need.
- Normal Eco - This cycle uses a spray rinse to reduce water consumption. It also limits the use of hot water. Recommended for everyday cottons and linens. In case you want to use fabric softener during this cycle make sure toggle for Extra Rinse for best soak action.
- Perm Press - Use for permanent press items and synthetics. Gets you medium spin speed on the final extraction.
- Delicate - As the name indicates use it for gentle/delicate garments. This cycle has a unique motion combination which helps benefit rugs, stiff fabric jeans etc. to our surprise. The reason is that the gentle move at a high water level. Final spin is at a lower speed to protect your garments.
More on load size
This top loader determines optimum wash you base on the input for load size and wash cycle selection. When in doubt always use a larger load size this will make sure that you will get the full tub water action.
- Small - 2 permanent press dress shirts or pillow cases or lightweight dress or similar size load.
- Medium - 6-7 permanent press shirts or 2 twin sheets, 2 pillow cases or 8 standard bath towels, 6 wash clothes.
- Large - 8-9 shirts, 5 pair polyester pants or 2 queen size sheets, 4 pillow cases, 2 nightgowns, 1 pair men's pajamas or 1 queen size bedspread or King size spread.
- AutoFill - system selects the water level for the load size and type of fabric.
Pausing the Cycle Along with Lid Operation
The lid will stay unlocked during initial fill and you can always add items to your wash. If you lift the lid during this time you will pause the cycle. Upon pressing the Start/Pause button once the lid is closed you will resume the cycle.
Canceling/Changing the Cycle
You can change the cycle during the initial fill. A- To cancel a cycle, hold the Start/Pause button for three seconds. B- The lid will unlock after about 10 seconds if the cycle is in agitate or up to 60 seconds if the cycle is in spin. C- The LID LOCK Status light will go out. D- You can now change the cycle type, if desired. E- Press the Start/Pause button to start the new cycle.
